Paul is a member of the CLL Advisory Panel.
Paul has been a regular contributor to the body of knowledge and thought leadership content on CLL’s website.He is also active in supporting the development of the CLL programme for in-house lawyers through its events and other initiatives and in building the CLL community.
After an early career in private practice, Paul held legal management roles with AXA and spent several years as the General Counsel to the Financial Ombudsman Service. He also worked in professional standards for ICAEW.
In his twenty years in-house, Paul gained wide experience in public and commercial law, led professional teams and was active in a range of legal and organisational matters. In addition to his legal and management roles, Paul gained experience of governance, restructuring, organisational change, training and presenting and stakeholder management.
Paul is now a consultant with a particular interest in the development of lawyers and legal teams (including in periods of transition) and in the resolution of conflict. He is also a trustee of an advice charity.
