Each event will run for 75 minutes, starting at 2pm GMT, and will include presentations and knowledge sharing by prominent in-house lawyers including the opportunity for a full Q&A.

Dates and themes are:-

23 February 2.00 pm to 3.15 pm - A lawyer at the table: being influential in your organisation

We will explore how the in-house lawyer can ensure that they are involved in the most legally significant areas of their organisation’s business and ensure that they are involved at a time when they can influence outcomes rather than being seen as a legal ‘rubber stamp’ on decisions already taken.

In this session, we consider how you can give yourself the best chance of achieving those ambitions by focusing on areas such as skills and behaviours, knowledge, career planning, career transitions, networks, mentors, resilience and balance. We will also explore management and leadership.

28 September 2.00 pm to 3.15 pm - Designing and delivering a valued legal service to your organisation

We will look at how you can design and deliver a legal service that is effective and valued and consider important issues relating to purpose, strategy and planning, operational management. value, recruitment and training and diversity.

23 November 2.00 pm – 3.15 pm - The role of the in-house lawyer in handling a crisis

We will explore the role of in-house lawyers in handling crises in their organisations, particularly in relation to assessing risk and impact as well as planning and implementation.
