Communicate yourself effectively at work

Webinar series - 'Self-marketing'

  • Event date: 09 October 2023 10:00 AM
  • Event type: Webinar
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Provided by: Inside Out Image and The Centre for Legal Leadership

After a successful series of events last year, Joanna Gaudoin returns to run four sessions on the theme of ‘Self-marketing’ following demand from the Centre for Legal Leadership event attendees.

It can feel challenging to ‘market’ yourself, especially due to time constraints and the challenge of putting yourself forward. However, to navigate your role successfully and progress your career – it is necessary.

In this series, Joanna will provide a lot of practical guidance on how to do this.

Your behaviour and communication style make sense to you, you know your assumptions, beliefs and have developed your behaviours over time.

Your colleagues are likely to operate in different ways. Being able to positively and effectively communicate at work in a range of different situations will help you navigate your daily working life more easily and develop your long-term career prospects to their potential.

In this session, Joanna will look at the different tools you have to communicate and practical tips for improving your communication in different scenarios and with different people.

About the presenter

Joanna Gaudoin helps bright, knowledgeable people with great technical skills and experience improve their non-technical skills so they can progress their careers and boost their firm's performance.

She runs Inside Out Image and is the author of Amazon bestseller Getting On: Making work work.

During her former corporate career in marketing and consultancy, Joanna realised that being successful involved skills that weren’t being developed or talked about.

These ‘other’ professional skills involve knowing how to manage your own Personal Impact and how to effectively build relationships, both internally and externally.

She has run her business for over a decade and has worked with thousands of people, both individually and in group settings.
