Legal Leaders: The importance of personal effectiveness

Legal Leaders Programme 2024

  • Event date: 16 October 2024 02:00 PM
  • Event type: Webinar
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Provided by: The Centre for Legal Leadership and Thomson Reuters

We are delighted to be continuing our special content partnership with Thomson Reuters into 2024.

The Programme consists of four virtual events, each focusing on a different theme relevant to the role and career of in-house lawyers.

Each event runs for one hour from 2.00 pm and includes a presentation by two prominent in-house lawyers together with a Q&A session.

The reputation of any in-house lawyer rests, primarily, on the accuracy and quality of their legal advice in conjunction with their personal effectiveness, for example in relation to communication, relationships and pro-activity.

In this session, therefore, we consider what personal effectiveness is for in-house lawyers, how it’s developed and what are the things that really make a difference to how well an in-house lawyer does their job, including a look at the traits that can undermine our effectiveness.

Our two regular presenters are both experienced, senior in-house lawyers well versed in dealing with many of these matters, who will speak about their personal experiences in handling some of these challenges.

Our guest presenters are TBC.
