Attendance is by invitation and the sessions are chaired and moderated by CLL.Each meeting will look at topical matters in the world of regulation with a focus on those topics of particular interest to Forum members.
This session will cover the following:
Better Regulation
Regulation is one way of seeking to change behaviour or control activity in pursuing political policy objectives. This includes prohibiting activities or permitting them subject to compliance with rules and principles set out and enforced by Regulators. Within this context, is there too little or too much regulation and is it sufficiently joined up, transparent, and proportionate and are the Regulators themselves sufficiently accountable i.e., who regulates the Regulator?
