Identifying hard ‘benefits’ from transforming in-house legal operations

Where and how to build a business case for your team

  • Event date: 27 January 2026 12:00 PM
  • Event type: Webinar
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Provided by: The Centre for Legal Leadership

Trying to pin down the return on investment (ROI) in legal operations can feel like nailing jelly to the wall.

Many in-house legal teams end up referencing intangible benefits instead of identifying measurable value which makes it harder to secure buy-in or justify change.

Tom Fleuriot, former FTSE-100 Legal Director and now legal tactics consultant and founder of Flocsam, believes in-house lawyers can and should push harder to select projects with real, quantifiable value. When the value is clearer, so is the target, and so is the impact.

What this webinar covers

Tom will walk you through practical and creative approaches to:

  • Identify measurable value in transformation or improvement projects;
  • Build a sensible, evidence-based business case for change;
  • Apply ROI thinking beyond tech to outsourcing, organisational change, processes, policies, templates, playbooks and more; and
  • Strengthen your case for investment in any improvement initiative.

This session stands strongly on its own, but it also forms Part 1 of a 2-part mini-series.
