We hosted a workshop looking at how to deal confidently with disability (both visible and non-visible) and health conditions within your legal team; wider company and external contacts.

Whether you are a team member, line manager or head the department, we all have a role to play in creating an inclusive culture.

Yasmin Sheikh, founder of Diverse Matters, Vice-Chair of the Lawyers with Disabilities Division (LDD) and Council member of the Law Society addressed the four key areas you need to master to be confident with disability – Business; Bias; Behaviour and Belonging – along with practical examples and how to manage people effectively, increasing staff satisfaction and productivity.

The workshop was open to:-

  • All those in-house and across all sectors
  • HR professionals
  • D&I professionals
  • A person with a disability
  • Anyone holding direct line/management responsibilities
  • Anyone interested in creating an inclusive culture at work.
