Here at CLL, we thought it might be useful to group together helpful, relevant resources for those within the in-house legal community.

We have scoured the internet and compiled some of the best in-house legal resources, check them out below:

The Centre for Legal Leadership

We can't have a list of in-house resources without including ourselves! We aim to provide easy to access knowledge articles, written mainly by those in-house, that have been curated based on four subjects (Progressing my Career, Leading the Team, Delivering Services and The Bigger Picture) to make it easy to navigate. We don't cover the law, just the ins and outs of your day to day, from how to ask for extra resource to managing workload. We also deliver relevant, free events and viewpoints from in-house peers.

Practical law is staple, they have a dedicated in-house resource centre that provides, articles, advice, tool-kits and more on everything to do with your role - they even use our articles!
The majority of Practical Law sits behind a paywall.

Crafty Counsel

Lawyer Ben White, realised when he transitioned to In-house from Private Practice, that help available to in-house was pretty limited. So, he set up Crafty Counsel in 2018 to provide the in-house community with relevant content and events.

Legal Geek

Legal Geek have set about creating the world's largest LawTech community via events and conferences.. They aim to make a positive, diverse and inclusive impact within the legal industry 

The in-house lawyer

The in-house Lawyer was established in 1992 by Legalease and is the magazine of choice for UK and EMEA in-house counsel. It offers comprehensive and insightful resources of in-house knowledge and expertise. Alongside the In-House Lawyer is the GC Magazine and The Legal 500. 

Law Society

The Law Society's In-house Network aims to provide advice and support on issues facing the in-house legal community working in all sectors, via articles, news items and events.

In-house pro bono

A dedicated site that brings together all those in-house who wish to participate in this space. Find out about volunteering or joining a sub-committee group that have been organised by other volunteers.

Association of Corporate Counsel ACC

The ACC has represented, guided and supported the worldwide in-house legal community for over 40 years. It offers a comprehensive resource library, education and events. A membership is required to access many of the offerings.

Lawvu

Lawvu is a legal workspace for in-house teams – it's an application that combines contracts and matters together in one place, together with a community space 'inview', https://inview.lawvu.com/ that offers articles, events and podcasts.

The O' Shaped Lawyer

The O' Shaped Lawyer was founded in 2018 as a movement for change in the legal profession – it does this by being a client led, research based initiative. Set up initially to deliver tailored leadership training to those working in-house, offer training, leadership consultancy, coaching and keynote speakers. 

General Counsel Sustainability Leaders (formerly Lawyers for Net Zero)

Focused on role that GC's have in influencing sustainability and supporting GCs to generate action via their role.  With peer-to-peer support via their Legal Leaders Programme. 

Ten Things you  need to know as in-house counsel

A useful blog from a seasoned US based General Counsel, Sterling Miller. His Ten Things blogs are published regularly and include great advice, tips and recommendations to help those in-house.
