Introducing Future Legal Leaders: a bold new chapter for our flagship networking event

CLL and RPC’s award-winning junior to mid-level network steps into an exciting new era for 2026

We’re excited to share a fresh update to one of our most popular community events.

Formerly known as the Junior to Mid-Level Lawyer Network (JMLN), our well-established in-person network has a brand-new name: Future Legal Leaders: Developing Lawyer Network (FLLN).

Why the change?

Since launching in 2024, the network has quickly become a vibrant and supportive community. It brings together junior and mid-level lawyers from across sectors to connect, share insights, and develop their careers.

At its core, this initiative is about the power of community, helping lawyers at a pivotal stage build confidence, support one another, and make a meaningful impact within the profession.

The new name captures that energy. It’s not just about where you are now - it’s about where you’re going. The inclusion of the word “leader” is deliberate.

Leadership in the legal profession is not defined by title or tenure. Lawyers at every level influence strategy, shape risk appetite, guide stakeholders, and drive commercial outcomes within their organisations. By framing our members as future legal leaders, we reinforce the belief that leadership begins early in a career and is built through confidence, capability and community.

Next event!

Our next session, originally planned for May, will now take place on 25 June 2026 at Tower Bridge House, London.

We’ve made this change to avoid potential travel disruption from announced TfL strikes, so you and your clients can join us easily and stress-free.

This session will focus on:

AI and Technology: tool or replacement?

Let’s be honest, if you’ve spent any time on LinkedIn lately, you might be wondering what the future holds for the legal profession.

Is AI here to help… or to take over?

We don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. This session will explore the reality behind the headlines - how technology is shaping our day-to-day work, what it means for your role, and how you can stay ahead of the curve.

We’ll also dive into the human side: the impact on mental health, the importance of staying grounded, and why being a trusted advisor matters more than ever in a tech-driven world.

Building on two years of thoughtful conversations around purpose, resilience, and the power of networks, our 2026 series will continue to tackle the topics that really matter.

What to expect

Future Legal Leaders events are designed to be open, practical, and genuinely useful, going beyond traditional networking. Expect:

  • Honest, down-to-earth conversations about career development
  • Practical insights from peers and experienced speakers
  • A supportive space to share ideas and challenges
  • Opportunities to build meaningful, lasting connections
  • And of course, relaxed networking over drinks and light bites

We’re always looking to keep things fresh, so if there’s a topic you’d love us to cover or if you’d like to get involved as a speaker, we’d love to hear from you.

Looking ahead

We’re thrilled to keep growing this community and supporting the next wave of legal leaders.
