The British Legal Awards - shortlist announced!

There was a record number of submissions this year and the judges were blown away by the calibre of entries.

Also announced as host for the evening is Sir Trevor McDonald OBE.

Sir Trevor began his career as a radio reporter, news presenter and sports journalist. He has covered history-making stories including a number of US presidential elections. His coverage of the 'people power' Philippine elections in 1985 won a Bafta Award for Channel Four News.
Sir Trevor will share the stage with a musical accompaniment to add to the evening's celebratory feel and to get everybody in the party mood!
