Catherine McGregor

Catherine is passionately interested in the role of inside counsel in determining the future of legal services.

During her tenure as Publishing Director at Legalease she developed GC Magazine to focus on the intersection of business and management issues in relation to the role of the modern global general counsel. Prior to this she worked at Chambers & Partners where she was Managing Editor. She began her career working as a lecturer in English and drama in higher education.

Catherine now runs her own company working as an independent advisor to law firms and legal departments around the world. Her work is focused on thought leadership and consultancy based on key practical challenges for modern legal departments and the related opportunities for advisors that understanding their clients can bring.

She is a long-time advocate of diversity and inclusion in the law. She was Editor-in-Chief of Diversity & The Bar, the magazine of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the leading not-for-profit association promoting inclusion and diversity in the US legal profession.

Catherine works as an ambassador for Global Leaders in Law the elite, General Counsel networking group owned by ALM.

She also writes, speaks and delivers workshops on business thinking and skills  for lawyers  and inclusion and diversity.
