Delivering ESG in-house

An event series specifically designed to help in-house lawyers.

We've teamed up with The Chancery Lane Project and Lawyers for Net Zero to bring you two workshops that will help with delivering ESG to your organisations.

Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) is an evaluation of a firm's collective conscientiousness for social and environmental factors.

Our first event, 'How in-house counsel are helping drive ESG' delivered by Lawyers for Net Zero on the 12 October, will look at how in-house lawyers are:

  • Championing legitimate Net Zero;
  • Supporting their organisation to guard against greenwashing; and
  • Delivering climate action, including work on contracts and supply chains.

Discussing their experience will be the Lawyers for Net Zero champions, Will Morris, Chief Counsel of Rolls Royce, Civil Aerospace and Charlotte Phillips, Legal Advisor, Kingfisher Group.

Case studies, top tips, good practice and key learnings will be shared by the panellists.

You’ll also learn how Lawyers for Net Zero help in-house counsel deliver on this agenda.

After the main session finishes, there will be an additional bonus 15 minute Q&A session with the panel.

The second event 'How to get your contracts delivering Net Zero' taking place on the 21 October is in collaboration with The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP).

The focus is how to use your contracts as a powerful tool to achieve your Net Zero Targets.

At this dedicated event, TCLP will be launching their Net Zero Toolkit which contains clauses, practical tools and guides to assist legal, business and sustainability professionals to deliver on their net zero and climate ambitions.

Becky Annison, Director of Engagement at TCLP will be discussing:

  • facilitating and promoting climate conscious drafting;
  • the possibilities that contracts offer to get from a Net Zero target to a meaningful and delivered carbon reduction;
  • the importance of a partnering approach to green contracting; and
  • case studies on organisations already using climate conscious drafting and how they achieved this.

We hope you can attend these webinars and find them useful.
