Rachel is a senior associate at Shoosmiths.

Rachel trained at a small high street firm before moving to Eversheds on qualification, where she stayed until an in-house property counsel role caught her eye. After a year in-house Rachel made the move back to private practice and is a Senior Associate at Shoosmiths. She’s a commercial property solicitor acting for a variety of clients on matters straddling commercial and residential property development deals and landlord and tenant work.

Rachel’s forays in small scale and large international law firms, along with the time she spent in-house at one of the UK’s tech ‘unicorn’ companies has given her insight into the ways in which different legal organisations work and what they can offer.

Rachel sees great value in building legal community and the sharing of ideas, both to support more efficient working as well as prioritising wellbeing and satisfaction in our legal careers. She’s passionate about the way she leads, and those she leads, wanting to motivate and mobilise those around her to make a positive impact in the legal sector and the wider world.

Rachel loves to travel and spends the occasional spare minute day-dreaming about her next adventure.
