Thomson Reuters Event Collaboration 2023

We are delighted to be continuing our special content partnership with Thomson Reuters into 2023.

Four virtual events will be brought together under the continuing title of 'Legal Leaders Programme' and, focusing on different themes relevant to the role and career of in-house lawyers.

Each event will run for 60 minutes, starting at 2pm GMT, and will include presentations and knowledge sharing by prominent in-house lawyers with  the opportunity for a short Q&A.

Dates and themes are:

A career as an in-house Lawyer - Wednesday 22nd February
Speakers: Linda Dann CBE, National Security Law Director (Microsoft UK) and Elizabeth Messud, Group General Counsel (Kingfisher).

In this session we will explore if it is possible to plan a rewarding in-house career and what are the key attributes that in-house lawyers need in 2023 and beyond.

Building and running an in-house legal team - Wednesday 17th May
Speakers: TBC 

In this session, we will look at what it really takes to build and lead an effective in-house legal team. How do you go about it, how do you maintain it and how do you improve and develop it?

ESG: Shifting landscapes and the impact of current events - Wednesday 27 September

The focus of this session is to look at how current events and global change outside of an organisation can impact in-house legal teams with an ESG perspective.

In-house Challenges: new tech, new ethics, new boundaries - Wednesday 22 November
Speakers: TBC

We will look at challenges from within a team or organisation and see how they impact the legal team. 
Including:

  • New tech - from hybrid working to AI to social media in the workplace. 
  • New ethics – a look at the ethical codes that employees are holding themselves and their employers to. 
  • New boundaries – building on ethics to discuss how this is impacting how in-house lawyer conduct themselves and deciding who to work for.
